Making Sense of Difficult Experiences

Start a New Chapter

Counselling provides a space to pause, reflect, and explore life's challenges with greater understanding. Through conversation, insight, and collaboration, difficult experiences can begin to make more sense, helping you reconnect with what matters and find a way forward.

What Counselling Offers

Counselling provides a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what is happening in your life. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, or a period of uncertainty, therapy can help you explore your experiences with greater understanding and perspective.

Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, we work together to untangle difficult thoughts, emotions, and patterns, helping you reconnect with what matters and discover a way forward that feels right for you.

Understanding

Greater understanding can help difficult experiences make more sense. Counselling creates space to explore thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences with curiosity and compassion.

Perspective

When we feel overwhelmed or stuck, it can be difficult to see beyond the immediate challenge. Counselling can help you develop new perspectives, opening up possibilities that may have previously felt out of reach.

Partnership

Therapy is not something that happens to you. It is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and shared understanding, working together towards the changes that matter most to you.

What Counselling Can Help With

Counselling can support you through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, or simply seeking greater clarity in your life, therapy offers a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings. If you're new to counselling or want to learn more about how it works, you can visit the NHS guide to counselling for a helpful overview.

What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. At Sui Cura Therapies, we aim to make the process as clear, respectful, and empowering as possible - guided by our values of Simplicity, Integrity and Partnership.

Discovery Session

Before committing to ongoing therapy, you’re invited to book a Discovery Session - a free, 15-minute video call. This is a chance to briefly connect, ask questions, and get a feel for how we might work together. There’s no pressure to share anything personal - just space to explore whether counselling with Sui Cura Therapies feels like the right fit for you.

Initial Consultation

Your first full session is a gentle, no-pressure space to explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to gain. It’s also a chance to begin shaping your goals and to clarify how we’ll work together.

Ongoing Sessions

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and can take place in Belfast, Larne, or online. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, with flexibility around frequency and focus.

Pricing and Flexible Options

Counselling sessions at Sui Cura Therapies are offered as individual sessions, shaped around your needs and circumstances. Sessions are available in person in Belfast and the Larne area, or online, with flexibility around focus and pace.

Our aim is to offer therapy that feels accessible, respectful, and supportive, without unnecessary commitments or pressure. You’re free to take things one step at a time and review the work together as it unfolds.
